Club Guidelines

Please leave the playa and facilities in the same condition (or better) than you found them. Our club house is completely self maintained by us. Our desert environment is fragile and beautiful - let's keep it that way for everyone to enjoy. This includes our toilets — please only flush toilet paper (no wipes, paper towels, or anything else). While toilet paper may be stocked, please bring your own as a courtesy to fellow members and to ensure you're never caught without.

In case of significant rain, you must leave the playa within 15 minutes of it starting. If you cannot, be prepared to stay in place until the playa dries out, which can take up to 24 hours after the rain stops. The playa surface becomes impassable when wet; even 4-wheel drive vehicles will get stuck. It is your responsibility to monitor weather and heed all warnings from other members.

OHV (Off-Highway Vehicle) usage in the Black Rock Desert–High Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (NCA) is limited to designated routes only. Given the damage such traffic can do to the playa surface, members are strictly prohibited from using any OHV vehicles on club property. E-bikes and motorcycles for transportation and touring purposes are allowed as long as they comply with all BLM regulations.

What comes in, must go out. Please pack out all trash, recycling, and debris. This includes cigarette butts, food scraps, and any materials that aren't natural to the desert. If you see trash left behind by others please help pick up and let them know we all take care of the area.

Dogs are welcome! Please pick up after your dog immediately. If you see any forgotten poop, be a good citizen and pack it out. Dogs may be off-leash if well-behaved and under voice control, but it is the owner's responsibility to leash any dog that shows signs of aggression.

All black water and gray water must be disposed of at the designated dump station. Never dump waste water on the playa or surrounding desert areas.

Use existing fire pits when available. If you create a new fire area, please completely extinguish the fire, remove all ash and debris, and scatter the rocks when you're done.

Please be considerate with generator use and noise levels, especially during night and early morning hours. The desert's natural quiet is part of what makes this place special.

If you notice anything that needs attention - damaged facilities, safety concerns, or maintenance issues - please notify us at admin@jungoyachtclub.com so we can address it promptly.

If a club boat breaks while you are using it, it is your responsibility to ensure it gets fixed as soon as possible before the next reservation. If this cannot happen, you must notify any other members with reservations that may be impacted.

For the safety and comfort of all members and guests, firearms and weapons of any kind are not permitted on club property or the surrounding playa. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping our community a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
